Coffee from Vietnam
Vietnam - Robusta Superpower
Vietnam is the world's second-largest coffee producer after Brazil and the largest Robusta producer overall. Coffee production only began in the 1850s under French colonial rule and exploded in the 1990s.
Central Highlands
The Tây Nguyên (Central Highlands) is the heart of Vietnamese coffee production. The provinces of Đắk Lắk, Lâm Đồng, and Gia Lai produce over 90% of the coffee. Basalt soils and tropical climate are ideal for Robusta.
